We would like you to know that during the
summer holidays teachers have been very
busy. Most of them have given their time
during five consecutive Fridays and
Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00p.m. to take
part in a course about the role of the Tutor
which was directed by Proforhum.
All the Heads of Faculty and Team Leaders
attended a symposium in Lima given by Dr.
Christian Harrison, Permanent Educational
Sciences Teacher from King’s College,
University of London and a specialist in
counseling in learning. She was accompanied
by Miss Sally Howard also from the
University of London and specialist in
Primary Counseling. Those who took part came
back full of enthusiasm and have already
begun to give workshops to the rest of the
teachers aiming to adapt our methodology to
the 21st century.
Dr. Daniel Dreyfus, a well known
Psychologist came from Lima and gave
interesting talks to our teachers about the
different stages of children’s development;
and two lecturers from Cayetano Heredia
University also visited us and gave
workshops about Reading and Creative Writing
from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for three days
with all the teachers from the Spanish and
some from the English Departments
