BASKETBALL TEAMS WIN IN CAJAMARCA
Our 3rd, 4th and 5th year, girls and boys basketball
teams won the tournament this weekend in the city of
Cajamarca.
Our students played the teams of Davy College,
Inmaculada and Newton, all from Cajamarca. as well as
those of Santo Toribio de Mogrovejo and Ceibos from
Chiclayo.
After a lot of effort they obtained the following
results:
Girls
Fleming 16 - Davy 02
Fleming 14 - Ceibos de Chiclayo 07
Fleming 20 – Inmaculada 00
Fleming 13 – Ceibos de Chiclayo 10 (final)
Boys
Fleming 24 - Isaac Newton 02
Fleming 17 - Santo Toribio de Chiclayo 13
Fleming 26 – Divino Maestro 11
Fleming 15 – Davy 12
The mothers and members of the staff who attended had to
be in two places at the same time as games were played
simultaneously.
The most exciting game was that of Fleming against Santo
Toribio de Chiclayo. The two teams had drawn by the end
of the game and had to play three additional minutes.
The outcome was not decided until the last seven seconds
of the game! It was very exciting!
The friendship that developed between the boys’ and the
girls’ teams was very inspiring. They played and behaved
as “just one team”.
We are very grateful for Davy College's parents'
hospitality. They put up our students and the school
staff that traveled with them and did everything they
could to make us feel at home.
