COULD YOU
‘BEE’ A SPELLING CHAMPION?
-
The semi-finals of the spelling bee in
primary school took place in the library on Monday,
after weeks of preparation and practice in class.
Our young spellers stood in front of their friends
and faced the pressure of spelling words out loud,
for every one to hear.
-
Anyone watching the spelling bee is
always impressed by the concentration and calm minds
shown by children, some of whom are as young as 5
years old.
-
Three students from each year group go
through to the final, which will be held on
Thursday. Everyone is invited to share the
excitement of this event – and to see if they can
spell the words too!
-
Our finalists will be as follows:
-
First grade – Bruno Monterosso, Lorena Baquedano and
Nicholas Canales
-
Second grade – Lisa Mestres, Milagros Santa Maria
and Camila Perez
-
Third grade – Alvaro Juarez, Jose Oswaldo Porras and
Daniela Paredes
-
Fourth Grade – Maria Jose Fernandez , Diego Cornejo
and Marcelo Ortiz
-
Fifth Grade - Maria de Pilar Secada, Maria Fe
Portugal and Luciana Osorio
-
Sixth Grade - Pedro Maqui, Nicholas Velasco and
Gyeliana Ilich
-
Congratulations
to everyone who took part and good luck to all our
finalists.
