MUSIC BRINGS THE WORLD TOGETHER
A highlight of English Week is always
International Fair. Students show us all the
best of Fleming – international understanding,
positive attitudes, learning for the sake of
learning, friendship and solidarity.
The theme for International Fair was music, and
groups found out about the folk music and
artists who perform in English from countries
all over the world. From Japan to Jamaica,
Morocco to Mexico, costumes, dance, music and
the teachers’ favourite, food, from all over the
world were on display.
This year, as part of the school’s commitment to
social projects we combined the International
Fair with fundraising for the Fight against
Cancer. Each group found a way to raise money
for this important cause. Some sold food from
their country, some organised competitions. The
final total, just for this event, was nearly 900
soles. Congratulations to everyone involved. You
are all a credit to the Fleming family.
Special thanks to Mr Lescano for organising the
event, Miss Lucia for registering the teams and
to the maintenance department for arranging all
the stands and tables.
