Thinking what to do in school
Sitting on a grey chair,
Under a grayish sky,
Looking at a white board,
Thinking what to try.
While classmates chat,
While teachers scold,
I dream under a cherry tree,
With blossoms dancing by.
While time slides past,
While the sun wakes up,
I plan to get a bath
Once to home, I get back.
When bells ring for break time,
When everyone try to be the first one,
I think about the sleep I’ll get
On the bed, my cherished shrine.
When recess finishes,
When everyone sighs,
I imagine a cup of milk,
Holding warm on my hand.
Once math teacher enters,
Once pencils are sharp,
I hope for a great meal
Waiting for me to start.
Once English session opens,
Once everyone begins to speak,
I wish for an evening cloud
To cover up the burning sun, for me.
Until Spanish class ends,
Until everyone cheers,
I vision myself on a sofa,
Watching a movie with tears.
Until school hours finish up,
Until the teacher waves her hand,
I step out the classroom
And with a yawn I say good bye.
