Dear Alan,
In the course of my visit I was able to observe
a number of classes across all levels of the
school and speak to a wide range of students and
teachers. I found the students to be
knowledgeable and well informed, proud of their
school and keen to use their abilities to gain
the best qualifications.
I was very impressed by the facilities of the
college, in particular the new library and
audio-visual room. In addition, I was most
impressed by the use being made of the college’s
smartboards. Good teachers were using them, in
all sections of the school, to improve the
learning experiences of the students.
I was also impressed by the clear leadership
given to the school by Mr. Nocker, and the
atmosphere of collegiality, enthusiasm and
shared
endeavour
put into place. High standards of teaching and
learning, good student / teacher relationships
and an effective use of resources were all in
evidence throughout the whole school. Fleming is
a school which brings the best of British
education to Peru and Trujillo should be proud
of what is being achieved there.
